Advocacy Letters
You will join at least 2 non-profit advocacy organizations and get on their policy update list serves to keep abreast of issues they are currently working on (can be state or federal).
You must provide proof to the professor that you have joined two organizations, this can be done in a multitude of ways and will be discussed in class.
You will participate in at least 2 letter writing campaigns or write your own letters to one of the folks who represent you regarding any issue relevant to our profession or to this course. You will provide the instructor with a copy of the letter as well as the research or policy information you used to construct your points in the letter. I will be happy to review your letter for you before you send it, should you so desire. (10 points each = 20)
