Photo essay
A photo essay consisting of eight or more photos is due at the end of the course. Subjects involved or included in the weekly assignments cannot be used for the essay, nor can students use themselves as a topic. You are strongly encouraged to select your topic early in the class and to discuss your essay idea, approach and strategy with the teacher in advance. It is expected that your essay topic will tell a narrative story and involve a person or people as main subjects. As with all assignments, the news value and content of your topic will be considered when marking. Photos are required to be properly captioned.
