Guidelines for conceptualizing, preparing and writing an amicus curiae brief are explained in Chapter 14, THE POLITICAL SCIENCE STUDENT WRITER’S MANUAL, seventh edition, Gregory M. Scott and Stephen M. Garrison. Each student group must select an area of AFRICAN AMERICAN discrimination only for the case brief.
