Bible Gospel as a Piece of Literature Which of the gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John, do you prefer in regard to its depiction of Jesus, the structure of the biography, its use of literary genres like parables, sermons, etc.?
In 250-300 words, write an explanation of your preferred Gospel as a piece of literature NOT THEOLOGY. For instance, my written response would be that I prefer the Gospel of Matthew because of the way he uses literary genres (sermons) and the structure of the gospel to build his theme of Torah righteousness. But I could also have chosen to discuss how he uses models of righteousness and structure to build that theme.
