Concept of quality
It has always been difficult to define the concept of quality with any precision. It is indeed a multifaceted idea that is difficult to define. Gaining an understanding of ‘what quality is’ is important to a successful quality ethic in a company. I was delighted to see the article “What Is Quality” and it will serve as the basis of our next on-line discussion. I hope you enjoy it and benefit from the discussion. In this discussion please read carefully the article “What is Quality” (available in the folder of Chapter 12 Six Sigma Quality). In your discussion, pick one of the 8 quality gurus and discuss their definition of quality. Identify how you agree with their definition and also deficiencies in their definition, i.e. things you disagree with.
give examples of how this definition can translate into real world applications.
