Current Literacy and Multi-Literacy Practices and Oral Language Description
A) Please describe in what ways your instructional practice addresses one of the following: EITHER oral language development OR phonemic awareness OR phonics. Choose the one that is appropriate to your classroom. If you work in middle or upper grades, you would not discuss phonemic awareness or phonics, of course, but oral language development is appropriate at all grade levels.
B) How will you improve, change, add to or in some way enhance the way you now address either phonemic awareness OR phonics OR oral language development. If you teach in a content area (e.g., math, social studies, science, etc.), there are always ways that you can reinforce students? literacy development, so be sure to think outside the box.
