As with all TIPs sponsored by the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), this volume represents the thinking, experience, and work of an expert consensus panel. The consensus panel members are convinced that, in addition to clinical excellence, skilled program administration is vital to the success of an OT program. Today, a program with topnotch clinical therapists can struggle and even fail if it is not well managed. Despite the importance of good management, a review of the literature found almost no research specific to the administration of substance abuse treatment programs.
