Importance of Leadership and how it Changes World Notes from Professor-
The topic is solid, but needs a bit of focus. I suggest narrowing it in one of these ways:
(1) Choose three or so case studies in which leaders from different levels of government helped bring change. Examples: Richard J. Daley as mayor of Chicago (local level leader), Gandhi in India (national/cultural leader), Julius Caesar (Roman general/dictator).
(2) Write a paper on local governmental leadership. Perhaps focus on Oklahoma’s state and local leaders since the 19th century.
(3) Leadership during a critical moment in history, such as the Civil War, Civil Rights era, or the Revolutionary War.
Directions-
Use option 1. By referencing the leadership styles of Martin Luther King, Jr., Gandhi, Hitler, Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger III, and possibly Julius Caesar. Compare and contrast the effects of their leadership and how they created change.
