In the light of the Leveson recommendations (and with reference to recent decisions), critically discuss the extent to which the
current system of press regulation has been successful in satisfying the demands for an independent regulatory regime,
whilst, at the same time, upholding and protecting media freedom. Media and entertainment law is a growing and rapidly changing area of law, governed by domestic legislation and challenged by emerging new media such as online news and publishing, blogs, twitter, Reddit, and Facebook.
