Personal Model of Educational Psychology Final Research Report
The final research report will build on the critical reflection paper as students develop a personal model of educational psychology throughout the course.
For this assignment, students may choose the practice explored in the critical reflection paper or another issue area related to course readings and discussions. Students will write a research paper that explores available research on their topic of choice, evaluates the topic with regards to cultural competency and academic access, and proposes an educational model that either integrates or improves upon the topic explored. For example, students interested in standardized testing may write a paper that explores available literature on testing in elementary schools, includes an analysis of how standardized testing impacts students of different backgrounds, and proposes a model of assessment that improves upon current practices. Papers should be 8-10 pages, 12 point font, double spaced. Students should write in third person and include academic references.
