• Write a 4-5 page review on your chosen book
• The review should cover the following:
o What was the main topic or purpose of this book?
o What are the key points the author(s) is(are) trying to make?
o What is your reaction to the book?
▪ What did you like? What did you not like?
o What do you think the author is trying to teach to the reader?
o How can you apply what you learned in this book to your own life?
▪ Consider experiences you have had (or will have) in your life—how do some of the topics covered in this book tie into those experiences?
o What are your major takeaways from this book?
• Your review should also include:
o Relevant quotes from the book (make sure to cite these by using page numbers) to support your discussion
o Examples from the text, the real world, and your own life to support your discussion

o 12 point font (Times New Roman or Calibri); 4 pages minimum (3.75 pages is not 4 pages just FYI), 5 pages maximum; 1 inch margins; double-spaced; make sure to include in-text citations (and “quotations”) whenever taking quotes directly from the text; APA citations guidelines are available to you on USA Online
