After watching the films, you will be required to analyze the film from a developmental stand point and write a 6 to 8-page reaction paper (including Title Page, Abstract or References). Paper will be presented in a collegial discussion format in class, you must be present in class for the presentation in order to receive full credit.

For formatting purposes, the paper will be written in the APA style. See writing rubric on Bb. Movie review papers are due November 28th. Presentations in class November 30th & December 5th.
I believe that watching these movies can enhance your appreciation and understanding of mental illness and the issues that surround the field.
Watch two of the movies listed below and write a reaction paper.
Write a brief synopsis of the movie plot.
Write a description of the character with mental disorder.
Assess the level of the disorder utilizing the “The Four Ds”.
Diagnose what the disorder is (based on the DSM-5) and describe the criteria he/she exhibits that led to that diagnosis.
Describe how the disorder was treated (if, in fact, it was treated).
Describe how valid the depiction of the disorder was based on your reading and class discussions.
