Field work Observations of second day in classroom
Take a look at the file in upload files so you have an idea / be creative
Part 1 – What happened?
Briefly describe what the children did and any interactions that you had with children or adults during your session.
Did the teacher do something that was really effective?
Did the teacher do something that left you with questions?
for this section include that there was a performance for women’s history month
Part 2 – What did you learn?
Then you will write a reflection. The reflection is what you think about what you have experienced. You look back on your day and you write. Use these prompts as a guide. You DO NOT need to use any of them. Please do not use all of them!
These are suggestions to prompt your thinking:
What questions do you have?
Was something totally new to you?
Did something surprise you about yourself, the students or the teacher?
What connections can you make?
How does your experience remind you of your early schooling experience?
How does your experience connect to the article we have read for the Reading Response Assignments?
How does your experience connect to any class discussion?
How does your experience connect to what you’ve learned in any other course?
Is there anything that you did that really worked well?
Is there anything that you did that you would do differently next time?
How are you changing or developing?
Please include in your weekly reflections two critical thinking questions relating to your field experience during each visit.
Concerts must be college level or above. No elementary school, middle school, or high school concerts.
Concert reports must be written about performances that you attended this semester, Spring 2019.
These must be concerts, not a single short piece that you listened to on YouTube while walking to school. For an idea of how long a concert should be, at minimum, a short concert is usually at least 45 minutes long. Below are are 2 documents that describe what you need to include in each concert report.
The Concert Report Checklist describes what to include and how points are awarded. I will use it to evaluate your concert reports. The Soundscapes document describes #4, #5, #6, and #7 in the Concert Report Form in detail. Read both documents before you select the concerts you will attend and before you write the report.
Because this is a virtual class, attaching the program or ticket from the concert you attended is impossible. Instead, please take a picture of/scan the program or the ticket (just one picture/scan, I don’t need the entire booklet!) and attach the file at the assignment submission site. For virtual concerts, attach the web address for the concert.

Soundscape
Your concert report should include the discussion of the three components of a soundscape: sound, setting, and significance.
1) Sound: What you learn from the textbook will help you with this section. This is not an all-inclusive list, but some things to think about are: Rhythm: Is the beat emphasized or hard to hear? Is the tempo fast or slow?
Are any tempo indications in the program or in the titles of the movements (i.e. allegro, adagio, etc.)? Any remarkable and specific changes in tempo during a piece? Any specific sections that featured syncopation?
What was the meter of the selections (duple, triple, quadruple, or other)? Did performers use rubato? Do you hear syncopations in the music? Timbre: If an orchestra or a large ensemble piece, is there any one instrument or instrument family that is featured (strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion)?
If vocal, is there any one voice or voice part that is featured (soprano, alto, tenor, bass)? Any remarkable solo sections? Tutti sections? Dynamics: Any specific remarkable forte/loud or piano/soft parts? Combinations of both? Noticeable accents?
Specific crescendos or diminuendos? Pitch: Any part(s) strike you as particularly high or low in pitch? Can you tell whether the music is major, minor, both or neither? Do you hear chromaticism?
Melody: Any specific staccato parts? Any specific legato parts? Any remarkable melodic contours (mon0tone, conjunct, disjunct)? Any recognizable motives that repeat? Any memorable cadences? Were these memorable cadences open or closed?
Any tuneful melodies? Harmony: Mostly consonant or mostly dissonant? A mixture of both? Chromaticism? Texture: Any remarkable and/or specific sections of … Monophony? Imitative polyphony (round or canon-like)? Homorhythmic or Hymn-like Textures?
Homophony (Melody with accompaniment)? Heterophony? Pedal point (drone)? Style: Can you identify the music style through the musical style characteristics? If this piece or movement sounds like any of the music that we studied in class, tell me which one(s)?
Basically show me that you listen to the music actively by describing what you heard to the best of your ability using concepts and vocabulary you have learned from the class. Sometimes when you are stuck it is helpful to describe the music using analogy.
For example, “The quick repeated rhythm played by the trumpet section sounded like horses galloping into battle.” This shows me that you know what trumpets sound like, that your recognize tempo and musical repetition, and that most importantly you were engaged enough with the music to imagine horses galloping to the music.
I would much rather read something like that than a sentence littered with incorrectly used terms from the book. Also, especially with descriptions of texture (which are tricky for everyone), explain why you picked the texture you did.
For me, it is more important for you to have a good solid reason for picking the texture you did than for you to get the texture exactly right all of the time. Especially in longer classical works, the texture changes often, and it is tricky to know how to describe it.
2) Setting: Describe where you are as you listen to the performance. What is the venue? What does it look like? Is the setting a secular or sacred space? How are people behaving? Is this a casual or formal environment?
3) Significance: What is the music’s meaning to you as an individual? What does the music mean to a larger group of people? Does the music have meaning to the performers?
Do you think that a distinction should be drawn between religion and the other classes protected by the 1964 CRA, on grounds of mutability? The argument can be made that one can change an attribute such as gender with complex medical surgery, but even then such changes are not typically recognized by law. Religion, on the other hand, is the only class that at least on principle could be changed at the option of the individual. What do you think the logical underpinnings of the law are insofar as “choice” is concerned? If some choices are protected, should not all choices be protected?
Would you opine that Obama’s Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act and all of the anti-discrimination legislation that preceded it is doing enough to combat gender-based pay discrimination? What would you suggest be changed or added to improve things, keeping in mind such factors as confidentiality of pay rates in the private sector and competition in the workplace?

Tesla is an American electric automobile manufacturer and one of the best automobile companies in the world. Tesla is not the only electric automobile manufacturer, they also produce solar roof.
Tesla was founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning and the company was named after Serbian American inventor Nikola Tesla (Schreiber and Gregersen, 2013).
Tesla got funding from a lot of different sources, but the main source is from PayPal co-founder Elon Musk. Musk funded $30 million to serve as chairman of the company in 2004. In 2008, Eberhard and Tarpenning announced their leave from the company but Eberhard still holds his share of the company.
Musk became a CEO of Tesla after Eberhard and Tarpenning left the company. The series of electric automobile that Tesla was produced are Model S, Model X, Model 3, 2020 Roadster, Tesla Semi, and Model Y.
History
Tesla first electric car Roadster was released in 2008, the car which grabs the attention of the world. Roadster, the performance of this electric car was comparable to many of gasoline-powered cars in the industry.
A single charge of a battery can drive up to 245 miles. Also, the Roadster electric car is very impressive when it comes to acceleration; it can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles in less than 4 seconds. I
t can also speed up to 125 miles per hour. One special feature about Tesla’s electric motor is that the battery is made up of lithium-ion cells which is the same battery used in the laptop computer. This will allow the electric vehicle to recharge from a standard electric outlet. Tesla stopped releasing its Roadster series in 2012, and the company started to focus on releasing the new model which is the Model S sedan. The performance of the Model S series is better than Roadster’s, it can accelerate from ì0 to 60 miles per hour.
(Schreiber and Gregersen, 2013) and can speed up to 130 miles per hour. Model S vehicle carries the battery underneath the floor, which gave extra storage space in the front (Schreiber and Gregersen, 2013).
In 2014, Tesla came out with a new Model S version which has a new feature called Autopilot. In 2015, Tesla has produced the Model X which can drive up to 295 miles and it is a seven-seater vehicle.
TESLA INC 5 In 2017, Tesla has released an inexpensive vehicle named Model 3 which starts from $35,000. It has four doors and can drive up to 220 miles. In 2012, Tesla has built stations called Superchargers across the USA and Europe, which allowed Tesla vehicle’s owner to charge the vehicle quickly without any cost.
Tesla also produced solar energy products, not just electric vehicles. Tesla bought the solar panel company SolarCity in 2016 (Schreiber and Gregersen, 2013). Tesla revenue $3.36 billion from automotive and $374 million from the energy and storage division. Their revenue of automotive increased by 46.8% compared the past year and energy and battery storage division revenue increased 30.6% compared to last year. (Prenzler, 2018)
Phase 2: Strategic framework
For the first time in company history, back to back quarter (Q3 and Q4) brought in profit for Tesla to end the year of 2018. Tesla and Elon Musk had very high expectations going into 2019, as Elon stated the company will be profitable going forward.
However, a few months into 2019, Tesla has had more of the same problems in the past; which is finances. Looking internally at the company will help to get a better understanding of why Tesla is in their current financial position…

Articles Published in the Last 5-years
The 10 research articles from peer-reviewed academic journals dated within the past 5 years. An older article can be used if it is a seminal article or an article that summarizes 10-years of research.
Articles with a multicultural focus and come from journals related to the human service profession.
Examples of Journals for the Assignment
Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development
Journal for Social Action in Counseling and Psychology
International Journal of Psychology and Counseling
Journal of Humanistic Psychology
Journal of Counseling and Development
Three Mistakes to Avoid:
Selecting an article that does not have a multicultural focus
Selecting an article from a journal not related to human services (i.e., political journal, law journal, economics journal, educational journals).
Using a source other than a peer-reviewed journal article is prohibited.
DO NOT use material such as online articles, news articles, magazine articles, articles from organizational web site, article from a college/university web site.
An article from a web site such as psychologytoday.com is an online magazine article and not a peer-reviewed article. Or an article from an online organization is not a peer-reviewed article.
What to keep in mind as you write the final paper
Research-centered assignment based on 10 research study articles: A reminder, the final paper is a research-centered assignment, not a topical paper that draws from a wide range of sourced.
The final paper content must based on the findings of 10 articles from peer-reviewed journals published within the past 5-years not an article from a university web site, organizational web site articles, self-help web sites, newspaper articles, magazine articles, interviews or any of the wiki sites. Peer-reviewed journals live in libraries
Writing Tone: The final paper is a formal scholarly paper, so it is written in the third person and does not include references to yourself or use of first person pronouns (I, me, my), or reference yourself as the writer or the authors. Also do not include personal commentary or personal reflections.
Focus to avoid: Forgetting the topic and paper is for a course in multicultural counseling. For example: Let’s say you chose the topic of grief counseling and presented a paper that discussed different models of grief counseling and a section related to multicultural counseling then you would fail the assignment.
Right focus: For example: The focus of the paper is on grief counseling as it pertains to various multicultural groups. In your research for the paper you will look for journal articles on grief counseling for a range of different ethnic and cultural groups and discuss what research has show to be true for counseling various ethnic and cultural groups.

Introduction
Note: An effective introduction presents the topic of the paper, any needed definition of terms related to the topic and concludes with a thesis or premise statement.
Literature Review of Peer-Reviewed Articles
Note: Let’s say you chose the topic of grief counseling with different cultural groups. The literature review would present 10 research articles from peer-reviewed academic journals dated within the past 5 years (requirement for final paper). There would be 10 separate paragraphs, with a paragraph devoted to presenting each of the 10 research studies.
III. Application to Human Service Profession
Note: This section of the paper discusses how the information from 10 research studies presented in the literature review could be use in different types of human service profession settings.
Conclusion
Note: The conclusion briefly sums up the major takeaways from the research studies. For example, sometimes you will find common themes in research studies that support findings. Or sometime you will find contradictory findings in research studies indicating more research is needed to clarify issues.

How do our bodies shape our lives? How and in what ways is the body an orientating device (pacÈ Sara Ahmed) that allows us (and others) to make sense of the world in which we live? What does thinking about the body in historical terms reveal to us about power relations between historical actors? Be sure to attend to the capacity of gender and the body to illuminate related categories of social differentiation such as race and class. You might wish to discuss, among other things: the ways in which capitalist labor imprints itself on our bodies, the body as a site of resistance to normativity, the body as a site for society to work through gendered and sexualized anxieties, the body as a site of knowledge production about the Other, the ways in which transgendered bodies inhabit traditionally heterosexual spaces, and/or the body as an object of biopolitical control. Consider these ideas merely suggestive; you may take your paper in any direction you choose. Just make sure that you clearly introduce the scope of your discussion and your argument in the introduction of your paper.
