Discuss the main immune mechanisms involved in allograft rejection and the relative roles of determining donor and recipient histocompatibility and immunosupression. A functioning immune system significantly impacts the likelihood of allograft survival.Each student will prepare an individual report (750 words). Your report must be prepared individually, written in your own words and be properly referenced.
We expect you will use a number of references in preparation of the report. You are welcome to use the references given in the notes but are expected to add
at least two more references to support your report. References to Web sites are to be used sparingly and you must be prepared to justify their validity.
Students are encouraged to include diagrams to explain concepts covered and to be concise. Your report needs to include a discussion and explanation not just a list of facts.
