Not as bullet points. You don’t have to include every detail. But you do need to tell the reader you used E.coli, the genes that they were transformed with (AmpR gene and GFP gene), and the way they were heat shocked (temperatures and times). • One paragraph will suffice. • Citation of NSCC lab protocol required. The written description of the plates does not need to be longer than a couple sentences total. Just describe whether there was growth or not and whether the growth was fluorescent green. • No citations necessary 4 Discussion • You do not need to talk about the controls but talk about the plates shown in your results and how you know the bacteria on those plates had been transformed. Ideally, you will tell me why one plate had green bacteria (IPTG in that plate turned on the GFP gene. Then write the results because all you have to do is describe what the plates look like and include a drawing or picture. That will help you get the ball rolling and then you can write the other sections which are harder.
