Do you agree with Tung’s assessment that the 20th century is the century of destruction? Now that we are well into the 21st century, do you think his assessment is still true today, or have we learned our lesson? Given the amount of natural and cultural sites inscribed on the World Heritage List today, should it be closed off at any point? Are there any potential benefits or disadvantages of limiting/forbidding future listings? Are there any member states that are overrepresented, or underrepresented, on the World Heritage List? If so, why do you think that is? Now that you have had a chance to peruse the List, what are some of the sites that you find to be the best examples of Outstanding Universal Value?
