Current Global issue on Human Trafficking This unit has two assessments.
Both of them involve your ability to learn about a particular current global issue in some depth and write and present persuasively about it, demonstrating the ability to summarize, form opinions and argue for them successfully and produce coherent, cohesive pieces of writing and presentations. This takes the form of a portfolio of written work based on your reading and understanding of one global issue forming a portfolio of around 500 words of work, not including referencing details. While migration within and across national borders has been an economic and social mobility strategy that has benefited millions of people around the world, there is growing recognition that labor exploitation of migrant workers has become a problem of global proportions.
