Aspects that attracted me to Apply to the American International College DPT Program
The American International College and I hold on to a shared vision. Just like the AIC, I am constantly pursuing approaches to enhancing my professional achievements, civic engagement, and professional fulfillment through an educational experience that would transform my life. Long a physical therapy enthusiast, it is this aspect that drove me to AIC for its DPT program (American International College, pp.1). An aspect that attracts me to make my applications to AIC University is in the dynamics of the DPT program that allows me as an undergraduate degree student to undertake a doctorate program in physical therapy through the institution’s program.
This vindicates my desire to formalize my passion in physical therapy that encompasses educational and prerequisite courses and research experiences that would enhance my knowledge in the field. I believe in the fact that the AIC is the place to shape my future and expertise since through the institution; I will be in a position to develop the opportunity to follow my dreams and passion for physical therapy. Besides the program, I also draw focus on several other elements within this institution. I am attracted to working with diverse groups of populations that the university provides accommodation to wholeheartedly, an aspect that would help me in sharing my mindset (American International College, pp.1). These individuals like me choose this institution since the organization respects the values of diversity, an attribute that would build my personal experiences in achieving the aspects of success, trust, and honesty through teamwork within the organization. On the other hand, the institution facilities will be of aid in helping me gain the required skills that would enable me help individuals from all walks of life and ages improve and restore their daily functioning and mobility that limits their daily functions.
The institutions inclusive student clubs is another aspect that attracted me to the institution. These activities will enhance my interaction with the community, thus enabling me to develop people-relations that will impact my career opportunities. Considering the fact that the clubs are run by students who take up leadership roles, I will be in a position to explore and apply my leadership skills within the institution by engaging in these clubs.
My Humbling Experience and its Impact on my Relations
Several months ago, I had an experience that humbled me into pursuing the DPT program. I had the opportunity of accompanying my grandfather who required post-orthopedic surgery rehabilitation on one of the medical institutions within my region. I noted several people who needed knee surgeries and ankle sprain treatments and whom the organization provided guidance, education, and support to improve the quality of their lives, an aspect that changed my perception in exploring a physical therapy program. I came to the full realization that people, the likes of my grandfather required proper guidance in coping with their medical conditions, with this support only possible when the right knowledge in physical therapy is integrated into practice. This experience humbled me and established a strong desire for me to help other individuals in the society suffering from physical dysfunctions. I am convinced that the pursuit of the DPT program will provide a platform for me to be innovative in the quest for knowledge and in its application in practice, an aspect that would help me in developing efficient approaches of interacting with different patients and peers within the field.
The AIC University remains relevant for me in the achievement of my goals since the institution has created a niche for me as well as other learners in pursuing a transformative education that would impact the society. The AIC University is not only the perfect place in achieving my goals but the only place that would enable me to shape my intellectual skills that would absorb every ounce of presented knowledge through the time spent in the institution out of its programs and educational activities that are developed to meet my knowledge needs.
I have the capacity to contribute to the well-being of the University as it engages in the cultivation of a cultured environment that encourages the element of intellectual inquiry. I herein believe that my application will be considered, and I will be granted an opportunity to achieve my dreams within the University.
