Education System and Ethical Argumentative Essay – Title is: Should education be free for Florida public universities? – Thesis: I believe that education should be free for students in public universities located in Florida.

Education System and Ethical Argumentative
Education System and Ethical Argumentative

Audience: government/people who deal with the education system – THE PRIMARY ETHICAL PRINCIPAL BEING USED IS CONSEQUENTIAL. BUT THE ESSAY NEEDS TO HAVE THE THREE PRINCIPLES 1. CONSEQUENTIAL 2. VIRTUE BASED 3. DEONTOLOGICAL – the introduction should have an overview of the controversy, bringing the audience up to speed up the issue in a brief, accurate fashion. It should establish the audience by directly naming it in a sentence and it should, of course, include the thesis statement (above) – only one short source should be used in the introduction as a background to the controversy being presented and the other 2 sources as evidence for body paragraphs. If possible the source most demonstrates how the topic is current. – On one of the body paragraphs, there should also be an opposing side to the controversy. – The conclusion should restate the ethical argument as well as the thesis, strong concluding argument.

Learnings Related to CPS

1. Learnings: This is the most important and substantial section. Write an in-depth reflection (250 words minimum each) on what you learned in this class, both about CPS and about yourself. Each reflection should include clear conclusions that are supported by substantial critical analysis of specific illustrative examples from class activities or course content. Separate these reflections in two sections. Beside each section heading are suggested things to reflect upon, though it is up to you what to comment on, other than the broad headings. Use your CPS Tools Documentation Sheets as guides for examples.
a. Learnings Related to CPS. What do you think are the strengths of CPS? What are the weaknesses? Can you see areas of your work or personal life that could benefit from CPS? Did the tools nurture creativity and a tolerance of ambiguity? Did the rules for converging and diverging help generate novel and useful solutions? How well did the group apply the guidelines? How did the application or misapplication of the guidelines affect the creative process and group dynamic? What strategies helped the group produce novel ideas and why? What strategies impaired the generation of novelty, why? Did you find more constrained or open-ended tools to be more useful? What were your favourite or least favourite aspects of the experience of using CPS?

b. Learnings Related to Self. What did you learn about yourself through the experiences in this class? What was it like noticing your success or failure in following the rules? FourSight emphasizes the importance of being self-conscious about which specific mode of thought to apply when solving a problem or working through a specific phase of CPS. What did the experience teach you about metacognition and creativity? How did the experience help nurture metacognitive skills? What did the experiences in this class teach you about your capacity to be creative? How did this impact your creative confidence? What do you need to work on? What are you already great at? What were the most important things you learned?

Definition and Understanding Education

Definition and Understanding Education We’ve seen in the texts of this course a variety of ways for an author to approach the topic of education.

Definition and Understanding Education
Definition and Understanding Education

In this paper, you will examine and assess the definitions of education that at least two of our authors have articulated in their writings. The questions, areas of focus to address are as follows:

Considering the different takes on education that we have explored, what is your own unique definition of education? And why is it valuable to have a clear definition of education?

Given that the purpose of this first essay is to articulate a clear definition that is meaningful to you, and to enter the conversation around education that currently exists; you will then explore how your definition of education is in conversation with at least two of the author’s we have examined in the first unit of this class.

*Finally, in order to accomplish this essay and make it relevant for your lives, you may want to consider how a definition of education can affect a person’s college experience or career path.

Please note that no singular author makes explicit all of the requirements that you will be responsible for ascertaining in your writing and thus you will rely on logical inference, our class discussions, and your own understanding to fill in the blanks.

*Audience: the readers of your argument will be people who hold familiar ideas about how education can be beneficial to a person’s progress in life, but will also hold to a standard about the idea that a person is ultimately responsible for their own education.

*Format: Papers should be 2 ½ – 4 full pages. Use 12-point Times New Roman font and double space the entire paper. Margins should be one inch at the top, bottom, and both sides. Your name, the date, the class, and my name (“Professor Torres”) at the top left corner.

A successful paper will have the following:

An obvious attempt to address the assignment;
Your own definition of the word (or process) that is education;
A sentence that indicates a clear thesis which response to the question;
An organization that is logical and easy to follow, making serious use of the “they say, I say” design;
A clear and accurate characterization of at least two author’s arguments as well as their stated or implied definition of education;
A reasonably well-developed discussion;
Paragraphs with organizations that are logical and easy to follow (including topic and concluding sentences and transitions that indicate logical relations between your ideas);
Sentences that are grammatically complete, logical, and easy to follow; and
A minimum number of surface feature errors – correct use of periods and question marks, correct spelling, the absence of typographical errors, etc., including no use of any form of the pronoun “you.”

Establishing My Academic and Career Path

Order Instructions:

As you begin the transition from academic courses to career opportunities, reflect on how the strategies already discussed can help to guide you through the process. Consider the degree path you have chosen and what additional skills or activities you should engage in beyond the academic learning in your courses to be successful. What initiatives and goals do you have for this career? Begin and continue to establish your academic journey and career goals.

Individual courses within the program will offer opportunities through assignments that develop particular skills pertinent to specific career requirements and transfer of acquired knowledge. Other courses and specific assignments such as interview, practicum, and capstone projects provide opportunities for students to be exposed to relevant problems and creative activities in health care. These opportunities will require students to apply techniques acquired from the classroom to active investigation with experienced mentors in the field.

Research where to find career openings in your chosen field, select a position you might be interested in, and identify the qualifications and experience required. Identify these requirements as you progress through the coursework provided in your program. Take initiative to inquire and explore as you make connections with your coursework and career goals. Some items to consider further are membership in a professional association, the use of Internet job boards for research into future trends, licensure compliance throughout the country/world, and occupational conditions such as location, shifts worked, required equipment, or safety standards.

Listed below are some suggestions related to the types of information that you may want to include in this section of the document:
1) Who? Who would make up my network (e.g., peers, instructors, professionals, colleagues) essential to success in my chosen field in relation to this particular course?
2) What? What are my findings from researching competencies and/or certification requirements for my specific job role in relation to this course?
3) When? When should I begin to make the connection between my course of study and my career goals?
4) Where? Where does this course fit in my career goals? Where could I schedule an interview or internship to bridge the theory in my course with the practice of a job in the field?
5) Why? Why are peer-reviewed articles important and what is the significance of them in a career in health care?
6) How? How does this course relate to the requirements of my career goals? How can I make a link between the course and career experience that I need?

Focus on the concepts and skills learned from this course and spend time reflecting on Who, What, When, Where, Why or How, in establishing your academic and career path. Examples are provided below. The table will continue to expand as you progress through the course.

Establishing My Academic and Career Path

The transition from academic courses to career opportunities involves a proper planning for one to be successful (McClintic-Gilbert et al., 2013). It is pretty obvious that one must have a good network of professionals already in the field of nursing, peers, and colleagues. John Doe – A forensic nurse at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, agreed to act as my professional mentor now and as soon as I get done with my nursing degree. We talked about the several courses we learn each academic year in University and how crucial they are in the field of nursing. We also discussed my capstone project, and she confirmed that it was authentic and gave me tips to making it approved.

Becoming a competent professional forensic nurse requires me to have completed a master’s degree in nursing from a certified nursing school. After nursing school, I need to get registered by doing the National Counsel Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLE-RN). After that, I will do other professional courses which include classroom and clinical training offered at colleges or at health facilities or just choose to enroll in a school offering a Forensic Nursing master’s degree program. The continued education will help me be updated about recent changes in practice. Obtaining the master’s degree with clinical training will evidently enable me to perform all the duties of a forensic nurse which include collecting blood, tissue or semen samples, evaluating and documenting patient wounds and managing emotional trauma on victims.

The time for making the connection between the course of study and career is while in school. That time is appropriate since most of the course assignments provide opportunities to dive deep into the subfield industries and occupations relating to my career.

Final Analysis of a Selected Test: (CPI)

Final Analysis of a Selected Test: (CPI)
   Final Analysis of a Selected Test: (CPI)

Final Analysis of a Selected Test: (CPI)

This assignment is a culmination of the previous assignments you have completed during this course. In this assignment, you will synthesize your previous research as well as conduct research on the final element in the Code, Element 9. Element 9 states that a test user, “evaluate(s) the available evidence on the performance of test takers of diverse subgroups . . . determine(s) to the extent feasible which performance differences may have been caused by factors unrelated to the skills being assessed.” Together, the previous course assignments and this current one involving Element 9 will provide you with the data, research, and literature reviews across all nine elements of the Code to assist your decision-making process about the appropriate selection of a test.

For this final assignment:

Locate reviews or research related to how Element 9 applies to your selected test. If the research or reviews do not address this element in any way, then you will need to cite the references your reviewed and note that they were lacking in in addressing this element, drawing appropriate conclusions for when a test is lacking such evidence.

Synthesize all of the data and information you gathered on your selected test throughout the course and identify highlights, both positive and negative, both advantages and disadvantages, according to all nine elements of the Code.

Evaluate your selected test based on these data and draw a conclusion about whether or not it is a test that you would select, recommend, or even defend, if necessary in practice. Note: You should not merely copy and paste your earlier assignments for the final paper. Instead you will be synthesizing the research you completed for each element into a summary of that element that you will offer in support of your final evaluation. (For example, note that the technical quality element (that is, Element 5) will be only a synthesis and evaluation and not a repeat of the annotated bibliography you completed in Unit 5.)
Identify the strengths or weaknesses for each element, and determine if the information about that element supports (or opposes) the use of your selected test in the field and population to be served.
Incorporate recommendations about ways to improve the selected test.

Review all of your evaluations for each element and recommended improvements to the test, and write an overall evaluation and determination about the use of your selected test. Would you recommend this test to a school district or business that you are employed as a consultant? Would you be able to defend the use of this test in a court proceeding?

What would be your suggestions for educational reform in order to address inequitable access to educational opportunities for underrepresented, minoritized, and underserved students in our schools and communities?

“Despite the rhetoric of American equality, the school experiences of African-American and other “minority” students in the United States continue to be substantially separate and unequal. Few Americans realize that the U.S. educational system is one of the most unequal in the industrialized world, and that students routinely receive dramatically different learning opportunities based on their social status.”

The effect of rewards in education

This is a university level psychology literature review, the assignment consists of summarizing three empirical articles which in this case support the question, do extrinsic rewards have an impact on education?

Poor student achievement is often attributed to a lack of motivation and rewards are given in an attempt to increase that vital student motivation. Students with
learning disabilities are very often unmotivated because school is one failure after another to them.When rewards are given, they often have the opposite effect of what was intended. High student achievement comes from students who are motivated from inside. Therefore, instead of giving rewards, teachers need to consistently teach students to become intrinsically motivated.

What type of bullying is most commonly used? Bullying can affect everyone—those who are bullied, those who bully, and those who witness bullying. Bullying is linked to many negative outcomes including impacts on mental health, substance use, and suicide. It is important to talk to kids to determine whether bullying—or something else—is a concern. A very small number of bullied children might retaliate through extremely violent measures. In 12 of 15 school shooting cases in the 1990s, the shooters had a history of being bullied.

Giving Voice to your Ideas Using Poetic Language

Giving Voice to your Ideas Using Poetic Language For this assignment you are to write a letter to, or about, someone you admire.

Giving Voice to your Ideas Using Poetic Language
Giving Voice to your Ideas Using Poetic Language

It may be a love letter, or it can be something less romantic and more practical, like a letter of recommendation. Either way you are to use examples of poetic language, both formal and expressive, to describe the traits of this person. It started on my first day working in content; the style guide I was given was like a printed A4 comfort blanket, giving me reassurance and confidence. My love hasn’t diminished over the years either; I still find them invaluable for writing and editing, and I see them as part of the foundation for a solid content programme.
