Database systems are experiencing very rapid change. Databases are handling structured data at the heart of operations in firms, vendor and customer order systems, financials, inventory management, and manufacturing. Data is being processed by enterprise software connected to back-end databases such as the Oracle product. Also with sensor data and social media data, firms need to be able to handle Big Data using tools such as Apache Hadoop. Streaming big data requires a new approach to data management while maintaining the existing structured database for enterprise systems.
Review the following two videos and then produce a comparison of the management issues associated with traditional data management and with Big Data Management. Discuss the future of data management for large firms and the implications for IT management.

At the heart of Adichie’s argument is a genuine concern about perceptions and mis-perceptions about Africa and those who live there. Think about our readings, videos, presentations, etc., and write a reaction paper that discusses your own view of our perceptions of Africa.
You will come up with your own claim regarding the works we have been looking at in class about the mis-perceptions of Africa. You will consider your own reaction to the works we have examined. Your response should start with a reaction statement, a thesis statement that describes the conclusion you drew form the various works we have examined.
The rest of your paper should be spent supporting that view with specific examples, comparisons to real life, philosophies or beliefs that you feel support or contradict what we looked at.
You could do one of the following or come up with your own idea here:
Identify a pattern across or within the works we have read and speak of its relevance.
Compare one aspect of what we read so far to something relatable today.
Prove or disprove the popular opinions about our mis-perceptions about Africa.
NOTE: Your paper must mention at least 4 of the recent readings/ videos/ Ted Talks that we have examined. (LISTED BELOW)
Reminders:
A reaction paper is an individual’s conclusions drawn from a particular topic. Those conclusions, if interesting and persuasive, should lead readers to consider the topic differently. Now, while everyone may have the same exposure to the work to which you are responding, your reaction paper is unique since it is entirely based on your ability to process, analyze, and think. Writing is a reflection of thinking and this reaction paper will set your thoughts apart from all the others
What to Do – PLAN BEFORE YOU WRITE
1. Write a thesis that states your overall opinion about our perceptions of Africa. The rest of the
paper supports that opinion.
3. Make reference to 4 or more of the works we have examined. Feel free to bring in your own resources
and support to clarify your position. Provide real-world examples. Be sure your evidence gets to your point. Summarizing the works we have studied is a waste of time.
4. End with the bigger picture in mind. What does this mean? What can we learn from this?
What Not To Do
1. Just summarize what you saw (I want to see your opinions – not a summary)
2. Eliminate all evidence to back up your point (e.g. no examples). You NEED
evidence. Just be sure that the evidence supports YOUR view.
3. Provide random examples without making careful effort to relate to your point.
For your convenience:
Resources: Your essay must pull from at least four sources overall

III. Family Social History and Case Plan (20%) Paper Due: Week 8
The purpose of this assignment is to be able to assess and recommend treatment and/or services to assist a
family system. Students will complete a Social History and case plan for a family based on 1 of the 2 case scenarios available on iLearn (see Week 5). Students will complete the following:
1. Create a Social History for the family, as shown in pages 307-309 on the Summers book. Do not “make up” any facts that are not there; however, if you can draw a hunch or assumption based on what you have
learned, feel free to address that in the Social History. You are expected address all of the headings that
apply to the family you chose. Points will be deducted if an area that is mentioned in the case study is not
addressed in the social history.
2. Develop 3 SMART goals for this family, and 3 objectives (activities) for each goal. The goals must be related to something that will improve overall family functioning. Please use the case plan form provided on iLearn.
Points will be deducted for failing to do so.
A grading rubric is available on iLearn and will help you organize your paper. Your paper should be between 3-5 pages (not including the cover/title page or case plan), should be well written and organized, properly edited and free of spelling and grammatical errors.

On pp. 46 and 47 in The Poetry of Pop, Adam Bradley describes how most pop songs are “ephemeral,” in the sense that their creators seek to make an immediate impact on the listener, within what is usually a limited time frame. On the other hand, pop musicians can also be obstructive, like poets, in the sense that they want to encourage repeated listening. They want to keep listeners coming back by encouraging them to wonder what may be happening under the surface of a catchy or pretty song. Choose a song that you think demonstrates this principle. What about this song makes it ephemeral? What makes it obstructive? How do these traits blend to create an artwork with a deeper poetic meaning?
-Your response to this prompt should be three to five complete pages. In your response, you should pay close attention to the formal, patterned qualities of the lyric and song. What about the sound or language in this song is compressed in order to enhance its vivid, sensual qualities? You may discuss patterns such as rhyme, rhythm, vocal quality, pitch, tempo, timbre, or instrumentation (to name a few of the patterns we’ve discussed in class). If you believe that the song you chose doesn’t have a very deep meaning, it is probably not worth analyzing. Beware of this as you choose the topic for your paper.
-You may also choose to write on another topic with approval from the instructor. Your topic must be approved by the end of my office hours on 2/14.
-No matter which song you chose, I encourage you to discuss it with me before you start writing.

this is a personal leadership/management style analysis essay. Currently, I am an intern at Occupational Therapy office, my position is front desk assistant. My duties are making appointments, answering phone calls, checking insurance eligibility for patients and helping in the office. In the future, I am planning to apply for dental school. I hope this information would help you to write this paper. If you need more information let me know Thanks.
These are the instructions:
—-Our first Writing Intensive assignment asks for you analyze your personal leadership style. You will use a combination of your humanetrics and PH Leadership Assessment results, your internship experience, your career goals, and established leadership theory to describe your leadership style. The catch: this is meant to be a scientific style paper, so you will need to avoid writing in the first person (I, me, mine, etc).
The paper should include three sections – an introduction, the body (which will describe the results and leadership theory), and a discussion of the results. Based on your results and the chosen theory, what are the implications for your internship experience and future career goals?
—–You are analyzing your personal leadership style based on the results of two assessments – the Jung Typology Test (humanetrics assignment) and the PH Leadership Assessment, as well as your experiences so far at your internship and your future career goals
Utilize resources for APA (found under Web Links) – proper grammar, formatting, and citations are very important. Run your paper through a web tool such as Grammarly to check for errors
The internet is full of resources for writing a personal leadership/management style analysis; I welcome you to explore these resources.
