Preventing Repeat Crime and Reducing Recidivism What do you think people working in the justice system could do to be more effective at preventing repeat crime (reducing recidivism) in working with people on parole, probation, and prison? I have posted the rubric, please read before doing the essay. This is a restorative justice class. you can put as many sources as you want.
Two 3-5 page argumentative essay Term Papers are required. The topics are the choice of the individual student to develop a deeper understanding of restorative justice. Topic ideas can originate from the text, additional readings, or discussion boards. A great source for topics can be found throughout RJ Today in Critical Thinking Questions. The First Term Paper is due 2/25/19 and the Second Term Paper 5/6/19. They both must be submitted to Turnitin. .
The Term Papers will be argumentative essays (pro/con) including an introduction, body, and conclusion. The Introduction should include a thesis statement, the body including supporting evidence and the refutation of opposing arguments, and the conclusion, a strong concluding statement that reinforces the position stated in the thesis. The evidence needs to be supported with outside sources and documented with citations in APA format. At least two sources must come from academic or government journals. A citations page must be included.

Online criminal justice journals and databases can be accessed through CSUEB Library at http://library.csueastbay.edu/az.php and at http://library.csueastbay.edu/CRJ Start with “Academic Search Complete “ or “Criminal Justice Abstracts with Full Text”, and find at least two articles for your term paper.
