Through an instructional conversation, the teacher is required to carefully listen and make guesses about a word intended meaning thus assisting the learners.
The primary benefits of this approach include its concept that delves into providing meaning that is relevant to the learners. On the other hand, IC is engaging an interesting and has a focus that while its content may shift as the discussion continues, its use still remains discernible through a conversation (Anderson, & Krathwohl, Eds.2011). Alternatively, there is a higher level of participation among the learners, an aspect that mitigates undue domination by a single individual or teacher. Lastly, the students are in a position to engage in an extensive discussion amongst themselves and with the teacher.
In establishing some of the considerations in regards to a learning environment and language readiness for ELL’s, it is essential to establish that the inclusion of an instructional accommodation approach should be incorporated as part of a standard-based instructional and balanced assessment approach (Anderson, & Krathwohl, Eds.2011). This, therefore, provides access to the required standards and curriculum for the learners that evaluate the effectiveness of the approach. On the other hand, a formative assessment approach is also essential in providing feedback to the students on the value of the instructional process. For example, a mathematical instruction may be held until a learner is proficient in English.
The Benefits of Instructional Conversation and Level of Cognitive Complexity among the Students
In establishing the level of cognitive complexity among the ELL’s in the use of multimedia technology that incorporates the use of pictures and videos in a lesson, it is essential to detail that the basic application of skills and concepts aimed at engaging the learners mental processing beyond the element of recalling was established (Anderson, & Krathwohl, Eds.2011). The second level would require the learners to make their choices and decisions about their approach, an aspect that would require them to compare, summarize, organize and predict the content of the study, an aspect that would be motivated by the use of the interactive whiteboards that present the learners with multimedia lessons.
It is, however, essential to establish that this would not be an appropriate level of cognitive complexity, thus requiring an increased rigor. This is attributed to the fact that the learners at this level require more complex cognitive efforts in meeting the objectives of the study (Anderson, & Krathwohl, Eds.2011). The learners should be in a position to synthesize information from the story and transfer the acquired knowledge in solving their issues, an aspect that requires the interpretation of the study.

As a learner, I am very much aware of this topic since I know that Rubrics are important tools which articulate the expectations of a given assignment by specifying the criteria and then describing the levels of quality for every criterion. Receiving a rubric at the beginning of an assignment allows me to feel satisfaction since I am provided with exact parameters. A time when my individual learning needs were met with regard to this topic was when I was able to achieve the expectations for an assignment in a course. A time that my individual learning needs were not met with regard to this topic was when I fell short of attaining the expectations for a certain assignment. My experience could have been better if I had clearly understood the performance expectations, guidelines and criteria for success from the beginning of the school year.
As a teacher, my strengths with regard to this topic include the fact that I am able to effectively set explicit expectations and guidelines from the beginning of the school year, and hold learners answerable for the work they produce in a justified manner. I can develop rubrics and use them properly in evaluating the performance of students in a manner that is consistent and fair. A time that my individual learning needs were not met with regard to this topic was when I could not take part in a certain discussion properly due to anxiety. My experience could have been better if I had properly prepared myself for the class discussion.
As a teacher, my strengths with regard to this topic include being able to build student engagement and make the class interactive, encouraging shy students to speak, and actively listening to learners during class discussions. A time when my individual learning needs were met with regard to this topic was when I was able to effectively carry out various activities of Higher Order Thinking such as for define, demonstrate, classify, construct, evaluate, describe, interpret, distinguish, and measure. A time that my individual learning needs were not met with regard to this topic was when I was unable to effectively apply facts as I sought a new solution to a new problem. My experience could have been better if I had taken my HOT lessons more seriously.
As a teacher, my strengths with regard to this topic include being able to properly incorporate HOT skills into the curriculum and using various strategies to enhance HOT skills of students such as categorizing concepts, teaching steps for learning concepts and encouraging questioning. Mystery boxes are used as an analogy for science where scientists manipulate sealed boxes and attempt to determine inner contents. The boxes are used to illustrate how scientific knowledge is fundamentally uncertain (Matthews, 2006). The essay in the form of a data chart, illustrates how two individuals, a scientist and a partner, observed a sealed mystery box and came up with the assumptive conclusion as to what the inner structures are.

From the above observations, I came to the conclusion that the objects in the mystery box are most likely marbles. Particularly, this is with regard to the light weight, how the item moves and distinct sound made when moved.
After analyzing both observations tabled, conclusion arrived at is that the objects in the mystery box are small and metal like, most likely to be either a nut or a marble.

In their study, Long and Ullman (2016) examined an extensive diverse sample of African-American victims of sexual assault (N = 495) for the purpose of determining the correlations of assault characteristics, post-assault psychosocial factors, trauma history, and demographics with drug use and problem drinking with the use of multivariate regressions. The research question which Long and Ullman (2016) sought to answer is as follows:
What is the influence of assault characteristics and traumatic life events on illicit drug use and problem drinking in African-American female victims of sexual assault?
Their hypothesis is as follows:
Basing upon previous research which indicates that prior trauma, re-victimization, and socio-economic status might have an impact on post-assault recovery, the researchers hypothesized that African-American women who have multiple traumatic life experiences would have a higher likelihood of using drugs and alcohol in order to cope with the sexual victimization.
The research question is a logical extension of the study’s main purpose, considering that the study’s purpose was to explore the way in which different factors like history of trauma, socioeconomic status, and age are associated with the utilization of illegal substances following sexual victimization in African-American women (Long & Ullman, 2016). The design which the researchers used in this study is exploratory in nature. The research question is actually aligned with the study’s research design. The study is quantitative in nature. The descriptive question seeks to describe responses to major variables, and the inferential questions actually seek to compare groups. In addition, the inferential questions follow from a theory: the theory which explains that the reason as to why women who have been re-victimized abuse alcohol and illicit drugs is that they do so as a way of helping themselves to cope with previous abuse (Filipas & Ullman, 2012; Hall, 2011).
The theory that was used by the researchers explains the correlation between dependent variable and independent variable, controlling for the effects of control variable. The researchers expected demographic variables such as socioeconomic status and age, as well as traumatic life events and assault characteristics to be associated with dealing with illegal drugs and alcohol not just within the women’s lifetime, but also within the previous year. The authors then entered the variables that were significant at the bivariate level into backward logistic regressions for the purpose of examining the effect of coping methods, traumatic life events, demographic variables, and assault characteristics (Long & Ullman, 2016). The variables as described in the study are actually positioned consistently from predictor/independent to outcome/dependent in the inferential question. However, the researchers have not provided an alternate and/or null hypothesis as a predictive statement.
Type of quantitative research design used
The researchers used an exploratory research design in carrying out the study. Open Innovations. To further increase the profit of the company, a cost-benefit analysis the strategy also encourages the company to conduct a cost-benefit analysis to identify which investment provides the company with the greatest benefit. In this case, the cooperation and active participation of the department directors (heads) mainly contribute to the success of the change plan. These are the individuals who serve as contributors and distributors of all necessary information in relevance to the changes facilitated by the company. Furthermore, it is unavoidable to experience complaints from employees, business partner and customers and the best solution that the corporation could equip employees with is knowledge. All employees must be given individual memorandums and must be mandated to attend meetings dealing with all matters concerning the modifications in the company, to ensure that all members organization receive an update about the status of the company.
Also, to lessen complaints and employee-related dilemmas, the company must practice transparency in disseminating all information that concerns (positive and negative) the welfare of the employees. The company has all the right to terminate, retain, and promote employees, however, the employees, regardless of their work performance, also have all the right to recognize the reasons for all actions that affect their employment in the company.
At the end of the day, there exists no finite set of possible dilemmas that a company would encounter will implementing a change plan. The only viable way to ensure the success of the program is to: First, before applying a change plan, identify first the number of risks and benefits that it will cost the company and the employees. Second, determine whether the impacts of the changes in the company are reasonable and would pay off the efforts and investments that the company will make. Third, prepare all the employees for the changes that the company will undertake. Lastly, ensure that the company facilitates clear and precise communication throughout the implementation of the company modification plan.

Introduction
I have chosen schizophrenia as the psychological disorder I am going to discuss. Schizophrenia is a severe and chronic condition that affects how an individual thinks, feels, or acts. The high prevalence of schizophrenia is one of the reasons made me passionate about it as I wanted to learn more about it especially how the patients manifest. For instance, statistics indicate that approximately 1% of the population is diagnosed with schizophrenia across the globe with about 1.2% of all Americans having the disorder (Schmitt et al., 2014). This means that approximately 100, 000 Americans are diagnosed with the disorder annually. Schizophrenia can affect an individual through their lifespan. However, diagnosis of the disease occurs mostly in early adulthood. Research by Schmitt et al., (2014) reported that it is quite rare for children and older adults to develop the disorder. Mostly, the rate of diagnosis of schizophrenia increase in the teen years attaining a vulnerability peak at ages 16 to 25 yrs. Men and women manifest varying patterns of vulnerability for schizophrenia development. It has been illustrated that males are highly vulnerable between 18 to 25 years whereas female have double vulnerability peaks; first between ages 25 and 30 and then around age 40.
Although an individual’s genetic factors are important in the development of schizophrenia, the environment in which the genes find expression contribute significantly to the etiology of the disorder. Take the case of John Nash whose intellect mother forced him, at a tender age, to read up to 4am, skip a grade learn Latin, and take advanced mathematics classes. Consequently, Nash became solitary, bookish, and introverted; a character that made him very creative and one of the greatest mathematicians (Nowak, 2015). Studies have indicated that a number of patients with schizophrenia are highly creative individuals (Richardson, 2015). Examples of such patients include Pink Floyd of the rock band, Vaslav Nijinsky, the choreographer and legendary dancer, and also John Nash of the game theory. Other environmental factors apart from parenting that have been cited to increase the risk of schizophrenia development include demise of a parent, childhood trauma, bullying, and child abuse (Grison, Heatherton, &Gazzaniga, 2014). Urban environments also increase the propensity of developing psychosis. Other factors that have been found to play a central role in the development of this disorder include social isolation, racial discrimination, unemployment, and poor housing conditions (Sørensen et al., 2015). Research findings have also indicated that approximately half of patients with schizophrenia use drugs excessively. Abuse of alcohol occasionally causes the development of a chronic drug-induced psychotic disorder through a kindling mechanism. Cannabis abuse also contributes significantly to the development of schizophrenia especially among individuals who have a high genetic predisposition to schizophrenia (Grison, Heatherton & Gazzaniga, 2014). Factors such as infection, hypoxia, malnutrition, and stress can also cause a slight increase in the risk of developing schizophrenia later in life. An increase of viral exposure during winter has been cited to increase the risk of schizophrenia development. Other fetal infections such as Chlamydia and Toxoplasma gondi can also contribute to the pathophysiology of schizophrenia development.
John Forbes Nash is one of the most prominent figures who struggled with schizophrenia. Nash was born on June 13, 1928 in West Virginia. At 22, he wrote a significant thesis, “non-cooperative Games” (Nowak, 2015). He received the Nobel Prize in 1994 due to his outstanding work in the game theory. In 1959, John was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. In 1958, Nash’s schizophrenic symptoms manifested when he attended a New Year’s Eve party. Nash had a sash across his chest and dressed in a diaper; almost entirely naked. He also had a bottle of milk and kept sitting on his wife’s lap during the event. Soon after, he began telling his fellow lecturers in MIT that outer space powers and foreign governments were sending him messages and that these messages were encrypted and it is only him who could understand them. He then began sending letters to several ambassadors worldwide. He once told Martin, his friend, that he wanted to form a global government and he wanted the ambassadors to help them. His wife reported that Nash began staying up to the night writing letters to the Pope, U.N, and the FBI. Nash not only wrote to governments, but also to his friends and colleagues. His writing was in a manner that was paranoid, in several different colors. Linn et al., (2007) report that at some point Nashstated that he had aliens from space who were ruining his career. At some point Nash saw men in MIT with red ties signaling him as if they were members of the “crypto-communist party” (Moffic, 2015). He was later hospitalized and told his friends that he had grandiose delusions. He also said that he was having thoughts that were beyond his control and that there was a plot by some military officials to take over the country that he led. He stated further that he was God’s left foot, and therefore, God was walking over earth through him. Some factors confirmed his diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. For instance,he was experiencing bizarre, persecutory, grandiose delusions such as aliens affecting his career.
