Your submission must address the following critical elements:

I. School Versus Work

A. The school you would like to attend costs $100,000. To help finance your education, you need to choose whether or not to sell any of your 500 shares of Apple stock you bought five years ago, 100 Apple bonds (3.25% coupon rate) that are five years from their 10-year maturity date, or a combination of both. Provide the appropriate data and calculations that you would perform to make this decision.

C. Suppose that you choose to sell your stocks, bonds, or a combination of both. What is your choice, and what is your financial reasoning behind this choice? Consider supporting your answer with quantitative data.

D. Suppose that you choose to accept the job. What is your financial reasoning behind this choice? Be sure to support your answer with quantitative data.

II. Bonus Versus Stock

A. The company has offered you a $5,000 bonus, which you may receive today, or 100 shares of the company’s stock, which has a current stock price of $50 per share. Mathematically, what is the best choice? Why?

B. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each option? Be sure to support your answers.

C. What would you ultimately choose to do? What is your financial reasoning behind this choice? Consider supporting your answer with quantitative data.

III. Compliance

How does this influence you as a potential employee and as a potential shareholder? Be sure to reference any applicable statutes or laws.

a promotion into the role of the financial manager.
As the potential financial manager, what federal and

And do your best to tie your arguments back to something from the textbook. Impress me with how much you’ve learned and how you can apply it to the questions below!

Finally, anything that is not your own idea, even if you paraphrase it, must be cited in the text. Check the following website for more details on formatting: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/1/

Managing Workplace Diversity Discussion Board

Managing Workplace Diversity Discussion Board In this discussion board, we are talking specifically about your course project. A brainstorming session is a fantastic way to get ideas down on paper.

Managing Workplace Diversity Discussion Board
Managing Workplace Diversity Discussion Board

When you do this kind of creative thinking, no answer is wrong. It is just a possibility.

Brainstorming with peers is a fun way to get the ideas flowing. Remember, you want to be passionate about your project topic.

Managing Workplace Diversity Discussion Board Discussion Requirements

Initial Posting: Brainstorm five problems. The problems can be job-related, service problems, product problems, or community issues. What might the positive outcomes be for the people affected if they were solved? Are there any negative outcomes for the people affected?

Reply Posting: Reply to at least one other student regarding their project topic ideas. Do you have any information about this topic that might help them with the research? Do you have any connections where they can interview a person about the topic? Have you read an article on it lately? If so, where?

Plan on writing 2-3 paragraphs for your reply posting. Important

Why do we brainstorm a student’s response? Brainstorming is important because you don’t know what you don’t know. This is an example of how brainstorming can help you write your paper. A student came into class frustrated because he had just found out that he needed to interview the person about whom he was writing a paper. It was a small piece of the requirements that he hadn’t read clearly. As he was explaining this to his peer, she asked whom he was needing to email. He told her he was writing his paper on the CEO of a major hardware store, and he had to actually talk to an interview with the CEO. His hopes of earning an A on this paper were quickly dwindling. His peer reached down to her phone, clicked through a couple of pages and handed him a phone number. She said, “Here is the number of the CEO; he is my dad’s best friend. Just tell him you are my classmate.” The student called him the next day and earned an A on the paper

The point is this: by using the discussion forum to get to know your peers, you may find out that one of them is an expert on the topic you are choosing to write on.
