Introduction

Tesla is an American electric automobile manufacturer and one of the best automobile companies in the world. Tesla is not the only electric automobile manufacturer, they also produce solar roof.

Tesla was founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning and the company was named after Serbian American inventor Nikola Tesla (Schreiber and Gregersen, 2013).

Tesla got funding from a lot of different sources, but the main source is from PayPal co-founder Elon Musk. Musk funded $30 million to serve as chairman of the company in 2004. In 2008, Eberhard and Tarpenning announced their leave from the company but Eberhard still holds his share of the company.

Musk became a CEO of Tesla after Eberhard and Tarpenning left the company. The series of electric automobile that Tesla was produced are Model S, Model X, Model 3, 2020 Roadster, Tesla Semi, and Model Y.

History

Tesla first electric car Roadster was released in 2008, the car which grabs the attention of the world. Roadster, the performance of this electric car was comparable to many of gasoline-powered cars in the industry.

A single charge of a battery can drive up to 245 miles. Also, the Roadster electric car is very impressive when it comes to acceleration; it can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles in less than 4 seconds. I

t can also speed up to 125 miles per hour. One special feature about Tesla’s electric motor is that the battery is made up of lithium-ion cells which is the same battery used in the laptop computer. This will allow the electric vehicle to recharge from a standard electric outlet. Tesla stopped releasing its Roadster series in 2012, and the company started to focus on releasing the new model which is the Model S sedan. The performance of the Model S series is better than Roadster’s, it can accelerate from ì0 to 60 miles per hour.

(Schreiber and Gregersen, 2013) and can speed up to 130 miles per hour. Model S vehicle carries the battery underneath the floor, which gave extra storage space in the front (Schreiber and Gregersen, 2013).

In 2014, Tesla came out with a new Model S version which has a new feature called Autopilot. In 2015, Tesla has produced the Model X which can drive up to 295 miles and it is a seven-seater vehicle.

TESLA INC 5 In 2017, Tesla has released an inexpensive vehicle named Model 3 which starts from $35,000. It has four doors and can drive up to 220 miles. In 2012, Tesla has built stations called Superchargers across the USA and Europe, which allowed Tesla vehicle’s owner to charge the vehicle quickly without any cost.

Tesla also produced solar energy products, not just electric vehicles. Tesla bought the solar panel company SolarCity in 2016 (Schreiber and Gregersen, 2013). Tesla revenue $3.36 billion from automotive and $374 million from the energy and storage division. Their revenue of automotive increased by 46.8% compared the past year and energy and battery storage division revenue increased 30.6% compared to last year. (Prenzler, 2018)

Phase 2: Strategic framework

For the first time in company history, back to back quarter (Q3 and Q4) brought in profit for Tesla to end the year of 2018. Tesla and Elon Musk had very high expectations going into 2019, as Elon stated the company will be profitable going forward.

However, a few months into 2019, Tesla has had more of the same problems in the past; which is finances. Looking internally at the company will help to get a better understanding of why Tesla is in their current financial position…

* Page lengths below are simply a guideline.

Part One: Rationale and Hypotheses/Research Questions

(about ½ page for rationale, ½ page to list Hypotheses/Research Questions )

Why did we choose this topic? Why did we think this was beneficial to study? ( Test anxiety n self esteem)
What were our research questions/hypotheses? Choose four 2 non-significant and 2 significant

You will choose at least four total. These can be the ones we did in class OR they can be ones you created (as long as you can test them…and do so correctly).

You need to have the following in your four:
At least one significant correlation and at least one significant t-test.
At least one non-significant correlation and at least one non-significant t-test.

Method

(about 1-2 pages)

How did we collect our data? (IRB approval, online or paper, who collected, etc)
Participants and Procedures (What was our sample?)
– How many total participants? How many men and women (numbers or percentages)?

– What was the age range? Mean and standard deviation?

-Academics: GPA, Study Hours, and Skipped Classes

3. Instrumentation – What scales/questions did we use? Report the name, author and year, and our reliability.

1. ALOC

2. Test Anxiety

3. Self-Esteem

Part three: Results

(about 1-2 pages)
will email you the data samples need
Report by hypothesis or research question

– Restate the hypothesis/research question

– What test did you run?

– What was the result?

– Was the hypothesis supported or not supported?

Part Four: Discussion

(1/2 to 1 page)

What do our results tell us? What does this mean?
What are some “take-aways” from this research?

The Shack Forum Response Essay Paper

The Shack Forum Response Essay Paper The Shack tells a story on two levels, one as a terrible tragedy and one as a parable or allegory.

The Shack Forum Response Essay Paper
The Shack Forum Response Essay Paper

There will come a point several chapters into the book where you will have to make the decision to “suspend disbelief” to enter fully enter the storyline. Please do so; the journey will be worth it. Please keep in mind that this novel was written as a parable or allegory (or a kind of metaphor), and the beginning of the story is written as realistic fiction, which takes place in today’s time. It is NOT “scripture” although it certainly introduces Biblical topics and concepts for further contemplation. It also features an interesting, “fantastical” plot that allows for analysis of literary elements you are studying. One of the purposes of literature is to give you insights or opportunities for thoughtful extended consideration from other points of view. (Note: You will have four (4) response assignments for The Shack, and they are spaced throughout the eight units of the course. Each will follow the same format, but will address different sections of the novel.)

Part Time Job Interview Research Essay Paper

Part Time Job Interview Whether you are interviewing for a part-time job after school, a job fresh out of college, or a career transition, interviews can impact your likelihood of getting the job.

Part Time Job Interview
Part Time Job Interview

Anna Post, great-great-granddaughter of etiquette extraordinaire Emily Post, is a modern etiquette expert who has just the tips that might make your interview successful. She explains the importance of job interview etiquette (learn how to network your way to a job interview here).

Anna adds to the tips in her TEDYouth Talk below.

  1. Why an interview matters

-It’s a way to stand out from the crowd.

-It’s your opportunity to build a positive, strong relationship with the interviewer.

-It’s expected and should never be the reason you don’t get a job for which you’re qualified.

-[You should] demonstrate your respect, interest, and appreciation for the opportunity to interview. [Your actions] show that you understand the choice your interviewer needs to make and that you understand it from their point of view, not just from yours.

  1. The Interview

-Do your research and preparation! According to an article by Amy Gallo posted on the Harvard Business Review’s website in September of 2012, industry experts say that, while candidates know to do some homework, most don’t do nearly enough. Practice articulating your strengths and answering questions you think you might be asked. Spend time practicing out loud—this is key to getting comfortable with the topic, and comfort translates to confidence.

-According to a 2012 study on professionalism in the workplace commissioned by The Center for Professional Excellence at York College in Pennsylvania, 39.9% of HR respondents identified inappropriate attire as one of the most common mistakes job candidates make. So: Dress up a notch from the company’s norm. It’s okay to ask the person arranging your interview or the human resources department what kind of attire is typical for the work environment if you don’t already know.

Part Time Job Interview

-Arrive early (29% of respondents in the same study also said being late was a common mistake). Do a dry-run commute to check how much time it takes. I heard one story about a job candidate interviewing at a major tax firm who was nine minutes late. The interviewers told him they wished they could have hired him, but, as he was late, the interview was already over.

-Be as nice to the office administrators and anyone else you meet as you would be to the decision maker because you can bet they will talk to each other about their impressions of you—and that could mean their good impressions, too.

-The greeting. Make eye contact, smile, and say your full name. Repeat back the interviewer’s name if you’re worried about pronunciation or remembering it. Use titles and last names in conservative work environments, such as a bank or law office: “Hello Mr. Martinez.” Have a complete handshake (no fingertips only or dead fish clasps), a firm grip, and two or three pumps. No fist bumps or two-handed shakes, and always stand up to shake hands!

Part Time Job Interview

-No smartphone. Turn it off. No one should see it, no one should hear it. Your focus needs to be given entirely to the person with whom you are meeting. Giving your full attention is one of the ways you demonstrate your respect for others; divide your attention, and you diminish the respect.

-Be prepared not only to answer questions but to ask them too. Asking questions shows you value the work the company does and are interested in working there. To form questions, read up on anything and everything you can about the workplace and industry.

-Ask about any next steps and when you might hear from the interviewer at the end of the interview.

Part Time Job Interview
  1. Phone Interviews

-Confirm the interview (time and phone numbers) via email the day before.

-Make sure you have a quiet place to talk, good reception, and that your phone is charged.

-Have a back-up [phone] number.

-Ask at the start how long the interviewer has to talk. This lets you pace yourself and prevents you from being cut off if they have to wrap up before you’ve gotten to an important point.

-The interviewer only has your voice with which to judge you, so make it count. Don’t let your voice be flat, don’t talk too fast, and don’t laugh nervously. Show enthusiasm.

  1. Follow Up

-Write thank-you notes. Almost everyone has written a thank-you note at some point in his or her life. But have you written one for a job interview? It may not be a traditional gift or favor, but this is one opportunity worth being thankful for.

Part Time Job Interview

-Thank you notes don’t need to belong—three to five sentences will do. Reference something specific that you talked about. Express appreciation for the opportunity and enthusiasm for the job.

-Emailed thank you’d are okay in addition, but send a handwritten note to each person with whom you met. The two notes should differ slightly. For example, your email might acknowledge the handwritten note that will arrive soon: “I just put a note in the mail but wanted to thank you right away for the opportunity to interview.”

  1. The Big Picture

-Let’s talk about nerves. If you’re nervous, let me share the best advice I ever got when I first began public speaking. Before you arrive—in the restroom if you can—look in a mirror, and smile big. Is it goofy? Yes. Does it help center you and put you at ease? Yes.

-Emily Post once said, “Etiquette is about a sensitive awareness to the needs of others.” Think about the process from your interviewer’s point of view and let that awareness help you target your responses at the moment. Preparation is important but so is flexibility and trusting your gut.

-Lastly, the core of etiquette is about treating people with consideration, respect, and honesty. If all else fails, let that guide you. I think it’s the definition of what it means to be professional today.

  • View the TED Talks job interview techniques above. What are the top three takeaways from this presentation for you and why? What will be the most difficult tip for you to accommodate and why?
