Human Rights Violation and its Impact on Women Instructions

You may choose a general or specific example. However, given the length of the essay, in most cases, it would be advisable to choose a specific example. This will enable you to discuss and analyze it in more detail.

Human Rights Violation and its Impact on Women
Human Rights Violation and its Impact on Women

A good essay will:

  • Briefly describe the chosen example and its impact.
  • Identify any international, regional and domestic (national) instruments relevant to your example. Include specific detail.
  • Discuss any formal or informal mechanisms that address your example.
  • Critique the effectiveness of the instruments and mechanisms you have selected.
  • Suggest a way forward. This will act as your conclusion.

Notes

While you may not be familiar with words such as ‘instruments’ or ‘mechanisms’, they are explained as the course progresses and well before your essays are due.

Instrument: The term instrument refers to treaties, covenants, conventions, etc.

Mechanism: The term mechanism refers to the means established formally or informally to monitor the implementation of treaty obligations. It covers formal bodies such as treaty bodies or committees and other international, regional and local means established for this purpose. It includes informal mechanisms, such as NGOs who seek to hold governments to account for their human rights records, and other mechanisms that seek to do the same thing, e.g. the media.

Children in Families and Communities Guidebook

[CLO: 1]

This week, you will continue developing your Children, Families, and Communities Guidebook by completing the Community Resource section. This weekís required readings include Chapters 11 and 12 of our Gestwicki course text. Additionally, the recommended resources may be helpful in the development of your assignment.

Children in Families and Communities Guidebook

Effectively working with children and families often requires collaborating with organizations in the community that can assist in meeting the needs of the child, within the context of their family. This often extends beyond academic needs and can include support services that go beyond the programís or schoolís capabilities. In previous weeks, you have explained the importance of promoting community involvement. This week, you will identify resources that will help your program implement these potential partnerships. You might think of this as a community resource scavenger hunt!  For this section of your Guidebook, you will collect artifacts (resources, materials, and information) from potential community partners. As you prepare for this assignment, you may want to consider the following:

Children in Families and Communities Guidebook

What is your desired work environment (Daycare, Pre-k Program, Head Start etc.)?

The geographical location of your desired environment.

The demographics of the children, families, and communities with whom you will work.

Access (either physically or virtually) the community in which your desired work environment is located,

Collect artifacts (resources, materials, and information) that you can share with the children and families who need them.

Include a minimum of three resources.

Content Expectations:

Title page (Children, Families, and Communities Guidebook) must include:

VLAN save A Company Time and Money

VLAN save A Company Time and Money How does a VLAN save a company time and money?

A VLAN or virtual local network is an interrelated group of hosts with similar tasks or jobs.

VLAN save A Company Time and Money
VLAN save A Company Time and Money

A VLAN allows the network to work virtually. They are not conjoined physically. VLANs are cost-efficient because they provide flexibility with network administration and configured software (Chowdhury & description , 2010).

How does a VLAN provide extra security for a network?

VLANs can provide extra security for a network. It does this by providing flexibility within the topological structure. VLANs also allows it within the network to be accessed. It provides control to do such a task. To add, a three-layer switch configuration enables the switching of data to be completed. Lastly, VLAN work in isolation to transmit data messages within different local area networks (Zhao, 2013).

How does a VLAN reduce network traffic?

VLANs reduce network traffic. It does so by grouping users into a broadcast domain. However, it is important for there to not be too many users in the user group because of this effects performance.  To prevent this from happening, the user groups need to be further separated or grouped.  ìObviously, the more VLANs into which a user group is partitioned, the smaller the average broadcast domain of the VLANs isî (Li et al., 2015).

What is the basis for membership in a VLAN?

MAC addresses, IP addresses, port numbers, IP multicast addresses can all be the basis for membership in a VLAN. These components can also be combined.

VLAN save A Company Time and Money Biblical Perspective

VLANs enable interrelated networks to work as one virtually. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 states, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lies down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (NIV).

When components work together, the outcome can serve as beneficial as long as all components are on the same page. We as humans must work together in different aspects of our lives. One example of this is a company with many partitioned departments. Individual departments must do their jobs to benefit the company as a whole. The same concept goes for computer networking, specifically VLANs. The devices within more than one LAN must communicate as if they are conjoined. Although the devices of the network are not physically joined together, they logically work to produce an outcome.

Scholarly Activity

In the place of employment that I envision to work in the future, there are many projects that I can beebevolved with that are aimed at increasing the success of the company. Involvement in projects helps a project management professional to assess some of the activities that need to be completed so that the project is a success. If I were appointed as the project manager for a given project, there are several activities that the project team would have to undertake to ensure success in the long-term. The project that I would be interested in managing is the installation of an enterprise resource planning system for the organization. The system allows all functional departments to work hand-in-hand thereby creating enhanced effectiveness and efficiency. For a successful implementation of such an ERP system, there are several activities that need to be undertaken as detailed below.

Scholarly Activity Managing Project Teams

As a project manager of the system, the first step is to identify the problems that need to be addressed by the system. This is the initial step and includes coming up with objectives and goals for the new system. Developing these goals are not only important for the project manager but also for the whole team since it will guide the various processes that need to be performed (Carroll, 2015). The next step is to define the scope and select members who will ensure that the implementation is conducted according to the plan. Members to be chosen for the project need to be competent individuals who understand the system and its importance for the organization. This stage also allows the project manager to assess the budgetary needs of the new project. Through proper forecasts about the costs that may be incurred, the project manager can determine the capital outlay for the whole project.

Once the plan has been outlaid, the next step is execution. Execution refers to the actualization of the plan that has already been developed. The first step in execution is data migration from the old systems to the new ERP system. Once this has been done, the project manager must develop a communication plan that will be used by all the members in the project implementation. Once this has happened, the manager can assess the infrastructural resources of the company. Doing this helps determine whether the current resources that are at the disposal of the organization are able to meet the needs of the new system. The execution phase will also require members of the organization to be trained in working on the new system. Such training should be aimed at offering the team various skills that ensure that they are able to operate and realize their work procedures through the system.

Scholarly Activity Managing Project Teams

Once the execution has been completed, the next step for the project manager is to test the new system. In any new project, it is imperative that it is tested before it can go live. The aim of testing the new system is to assess its ability to meet the needs that it will undertake (Lock, 2018). Testing is also undertaken to determine its acceptance by the users across the organization. If there are any inefficiencies that are noted during this phase, the project manager must demand that an evaluation of the system takes place. The process is also aimed at assessing the ability of the employees to operate the system. Inability to work with the system would be an indication that the organization would not fully benefit from the new system in the future…
