Choice 1:
Identify a particular experience of your own that you can connect to a response you had to the book. In all likelihood, this was shared with someone else. Then, craft a 350-word letter to someone who has a shared experience with you, in which you discuss the book and how your shared experience shaped your interpretation of the text.
Choice 2:
Identify how your influences helped you connect to the book. Craft a 350-word essay that outlines how your identity influences and positionality shaped your interpretation of the text. (The purpose of this reflection is to provide an interpretation of a piece of literature that draws upon your lived experience. Keep in mind that your audience is someone who shared with you the experience that shapes your interpretation.)
